The executive committee of the APNA Foundation (Andhra Pradesh Physicians of North America Foundation) want to invite you all to join the upcoming APNA Day to be held on Saturday, October 31st, at Hotel Westin, Dallas, Texas.

The APNA Foundation was originally formed by a group of volunteers, physicians, and entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh origin. The web site was inaugurated20by our Chief Minister, Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The intent of APNA is to help the poor, underprivileged, and havenots, primarily of Andhra Pradesh. We also intend to do some charitable work in United States also. Last APNA Day that was held in Atlanta, Georgia, was a great success. Dr. S. P. Balasubramanyam was our chief guest and Honourable US Congressman Artur Davis was Keynote Speaker. We look forward to this year’s events, primarily to increase the awareness of APNA’s mission and activities.

We had successful HealthFair in RavindraBharathi. Dr. Sreeni Gangasani will present the details.

The core committee members for this function are myself, Mr. Prasad Thotakura, Dr. Subramanyam Boya, Mr. Bala Indurti, Mr. Sridhar Korsapati, Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad of Springfield, Illinois, and Dr. Ramesh Peramsetty of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

These committee members have devoted much o f their time and energy to make this event a success. The Dallas team, headed by Dr. Subramanyam Boya, Mr. Prasad Thotakura, and Mr. Sridhar Korsapati, are the main drivers of this activity.

As you can see by the committee’s members’ names, several of our members are not physicians, and we encourage everyone to join us in assisting the Andhra Pradesh community. In order to make our organization more representative of our welcoming attitude and to make this an all-inclusive organization, we have a major strategy change in the works. This announcement will be made on the APNA Day. Stay tuned.

We want to welcome all of you, and we hope that you and your families can attend this event.

We have a very exciting program planned, which includes mimicry by Mimic Srinivas, and the master of ceremonies and recital of devotional songs will be done by Sri Gangadhar Garu.

Mr. Upendra Chivukula, a congressman from New Jersey, will be our special guest.

In addition to these, many more exciting things are planned. Mrs. Subhashini Boya, with her incredible organizational skills, will assist us with the arrangements, including arranging delicious, mouthwatering gourmet Indian meals.
